I have a final in less than 8 hours. And I'm so not ready for it.

Now that I think about it, May was one messed up month. I turned 20, and some bad bumps in relationships happened to people I know. And heck, I never got my flipping ice cream cake I wanted.

Oh right. I'm supposed to also write about my day.

My alarm clock went off at 6. Hit the snooze button 3 times in a row. Rolled out of bed at 6:20 and showered/got ready. Ate breakfast. I managed to grab the right cereal box today, unlike yesterday where I grabbed the orange box I thought was Reese Puff and had Cheerios instead. Drove to school. Got there at 7:30. Sat in my car. Harassed friend via early morning call. Went to class. Took out laptop. Surfed the internet for an hour and a half while professor babbles like an idiot. Had 20 minute break. Got coffee. Woke up. Went back to class for last hour. Professor admits he's a Democratic. Wow. Biggest surprise of the whole 4 weeks - not. The anti-bush displays were enough to show it from the beginning. Finished class. Walked 2 rooms down from the classroom and went to work. Spent an hour and a half staring at an LCD burning my retinas out. Did photo corrections. I'm sick of people from the 90s. Everybody should be required to now take pictures in digital format, in high resolutions for easier image editing. Went to lunch. Food tasted bland as usual. Went back to work. Finished editing all 200 images 2 weeks after initially scanning them. Uploaded all the iamges to the web. Website is 90% finished. Two problems remain - PHP error messages flying everywhere on the web server, and possible duplicates that I'm not going to spend my time looking for. Went to my other place of employment to pick up my paycheck. Apparently I'm being paid $11/hr. Paycheck was $40, so do the math. They say there will be work soon. Oh goody, more time with people that I probably won't like and will only have to see once in my life before they get old and kick the bucket. Left place of employment after getting paycheck and drove home. Took 90 minute nap. Woke up. Started working on defining all my study terms. Ate dinner. Defined more terms. Got distracted by people trying to talk to me. Made livejournal entry about my day in the form of one large paragraph with no real structure. Looking forward to finishing up my class tomorrow. Not looking forward to my evening, where I've been dragged into dinner and a movie with somebody. Not sure how I managed to get myself into a situation like that. Probably should blame the French for all my problems, though I hope they're not celebrating my getting out on a Friday night as a French military victory. Done with journal entry. I conclude with a link to this site.

The three most important things I learned this school year:

1. Change is good. Go Telecommunications.
2. A humanities professor who assigns you 1 textbook, 9 auxillary readings, and quizes you biweekly on 200 page books that you have no time to read, then gives you only 2 tests the whole sememster and still expects you to do well is a flaming faggot.
3. When a public safety officer frisks you without reason and racially profiles you, there's no way he's going to win when you bring everyboy and their mother into it.

Oh... and I didn't microwave a sock this time around. Girl was real bitchy about not letting us use the edit bay just to put our project to tape. She should have made a better commitment to reserve the edit bay earlier. Serves her right.

CHIN 152 @ 11 sucked too. I'm so confused. I still have no idea what that musical is about.
Today I went into the edit bay to capture the footage we shot over the weekend. It encountered an Error with about a minute left.

That was a crappy 20 minutes of my life wasted right there. I ended up getting the problem fixed, and re-logged all the clips all over again; which involved playing all 25 minutes of my footage again so i could see the points where i needed to begin and end clips. Started my break off by rushing out of my Chinese class at noon on Friday, and running to my car. Jumped into my car, and started driving off to Palmdale, to meet up with the Schmidts. Unfortunately, seeing as how Malibu Canyon was closed, we ended up taking Kanan and setting ourselves back an hour. We ended up getting into Mammoth at night, and spent the next two glorious days snowboarding. Few funny moments here and there. While struggling to get my boot strapped back onto my snowboard on a black diamond, I ended up sliding down a couple feet every attempt I made at it. Upon getting strapped back in, I stood up to go on my run, only to fall on my back and slide down the run a good 50 feet on my back. Snow wasn't as good this year as it was last year. Much more packed. Monday rolled along, and we had planned to leave Monday morning. We woke up to fresh snow, and knew we had to go out for one more run. I'm definitely glad we did.

Seeing the fresh snow really did put everything into perspective, during those two short hours that we were up on the mountain. It made me thankful for everything and everybody that I had in my life. Of course, that whole thought ended the moment I caught a small bit of air on a bouncy run, and landed on my hip --HARD. After that, the gloves were off, and the words were quite sinful. Came home from Mammoth, and drove back from Palmdale. Put 120 miles on my car that day, driving into LA and then back out and back to Oak Park. It's nice to be home again, that's for sure. Seems like a lot has changed, from the surroundings, to even the people I once knew here. Regardless, it's still home to me. Spent quite a bit of time at the high school, catching up with teachers, and seeing how they have been doing. It's a definite strange feeling when people tell you that you look and sound older. I most definitely don't feel any older than the day I left. Only real chance I can note is that I shave more than I did a couple years ago, but other than that, I still feel like the same person.

Compared to last year, this spring break has been much more interesting than the last. Though it may not have been as exciting, it still was well worth it. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year. Maybe another tirp to Mammoth, or maybe even a road trip (Tyler's crazy idea -- not mine). Whatever happens, I'm sure it'll be a blast.

Happy v-day everybody. I'm going to grab my gallon tub of ice cream, cement myself to my chair in front of the TV, and spend a marathon of my evening watching Lifetime and balling my eyes out. Then after that, I'm walking around campus with a pair of sizzors in my pocket. Every person holding a rose, I'm going to run up and snip the top of. Then I'm stealing their chocolate so I can bring it back to my room later and spend the late hours of the night all to myself watching "Sleepless in Seattle".

Go Hallmark Holidays. Dr. Pepper, you make the world taste better; but Hallmark Holidays can go **** themselves silly.
